Hearing information is also posted on the taxing unit’s website (when available). Property owners can visit to view estimated taxes, see tax rates as they are proposed, and monitor when budget and tax rate hearings will occur for their taxing entities. Public hearings will be held by each taxing unit as required by law while they go through these processes. We respectfully ask that you contact this office immediately if you receive a Property Access Request letter.įor the next couple months, taxing entities will be creating their budgets, reviewing the certified appraisal values for properties in their jurisdiction, and setting the tax rates accordingly. If we cannot access your property and there are buildings that need to be inspected, you will be sent a letter requesting contact or information to coordinate property access with the owner. Please remember, RCAD appraisers will never climb fences, breech locked gates (except with permission of the property owner), and every effort is made to honor signs marking a property as private.
